  • PROJECT INSPIRATION

The Warehouse @ 411S. 1st St is beginning to show its true colors as CCBG Architects & R.P. Construction undertake renovations on this adaptive reuse project. Working with Phoenix Economic Development Office, Planning & Development, Streets & Transportation & APS, the building owner & project design team created a path forward, for this 28,000s.f. Warehouse. Constructed in 1922 for the AZ Sash&Door Co, this building wasn\'t included in state or national historic registers. Outwardly, the building didn\'t show its true nature. Window openings had been enclosed with masonry & the entire structure was encapsulated with a thick coat of Spanish lace stucco. The building’s original brick is painstakingly being revealed. Mortar be repointed & the façade will be sealed. Historic steel windows will be painted & re-glazed, new trusses sistered to old trusses, new roof diaphragm & foam roofing provided along with neatly aligned roof mounted air conditioning units.
