  • PROJECT INSPIRATION

The program and Master Plan for this multi phased Reformed Temple included a new Sanctuary, Education Building, Banquet Hall and Ceremonial Courtyard spaces added to several older structures on the property. Integral to the design and planning are references to both Jewish cultural traditions and historic architecture, from the Books of Genesis and Exodus, all compiled through extensive research. The architecture of the campus provides important inspiration to the congregation and reinforces their Judaic roots. The Sanctuary expresses the symbolism of the nomadic tent in the desert, the earliest form of the Synagogue, rich in architectural imagery. The courtyard has both soft and hard surfaces for ceremonial events and dance. The forms and textures emulate the fabric of the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem.
