  • PROJECT INSPIRATION

The design of this Church sought to reunite Catholic’s with a building that looks like a Church and connects the tradition of Catholicism with today’s world. Highly articulated, the interior is richly adorned with sculpture and liturgical art from Italy, Mexico and the Americas, and celebrates the mystery of faith and the ritual of Mass. The exterior forms are a clean adaptation of a southwestern mission style church, both protective and inviting. One enters the church from a central courtyard into a richly colored Narthex, followed by the holy of holy’s, the Sanctuary. A fan shaped seating plan allows over 1,200 parishioners optimal sight lines, and a side Chapel allows for additional seating or use as a daily Mass Chapel. The tall volumes enhance a rich musical environment.
